Thanks to my photographic friend Olena Sullivan, I was able to photograph Spiegelworld Empire on the 16th. I last saw a Spiegeltent show here at Harbourfront about 10 years ago, and it was quite something, as was this one. Great performances in a terrific venue, on a cold and windy night. I decided to make most of these images black and white- they seem to work better that way, in part because of the magenta lighting, but also just because of the mood of the event.
