I’m back for my 10th (or 11th, not sure!) year shooting the Canadian Opera Company‘s  Free Concert Series at the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre. It seems to be a tradition that I photograph the first performance of the season, performances by the artists of the company’s Ensemble Studio. Here’s a selection of my photos from their wonderful performances.

On the technical side, the backlighting through that wall of glass was pretty overwhelming this time out. I’ve now moved from Adobe Lightroom to Capture One Pro to process images, most of which were made with a Nikon 850 and 70-200 lens. I find that the image quality on RAW files brought into Capture One is sharper and the colours more accurate in Capture One.
