2017 Burlesque Top 25 photos

I started out assuming I could come up with 10 photos from every genre I worked on this year, including burlesque. While I photographed fewer shows than previous years, there were still enough shows and terrific performances where I felt the Burlesque category needed a little more representation, so here you go. My favourite venues this year were, as always, the Revival, and also Christian Aldo’s Super Wonder Gallery, which was wonderful to shoot in during the Toronto Burlesque Festival thanks to that crazy red velvet drape and some additional footlights, courtesy of JP Robichaud.

Thanks to all the performers for putting in so much hard work. It shows. Thanks also for purchasing images from me. It helps pay the bills, particularly when I have to deal with my tendency to drop my camera.
